Juanita was born in Pontiac, Michigan to Virginia and Samuel Dovonno on December 3rd, 1939. She went to school at Pontiac High School. She married Clayton I. Cocking in June of 1959.
After Clayton’s death in 1973 she remarried William R. Hoose in January of 1977 in Pontiac Michigan. She graduated from Oakland University in 1982 with her Doctorial degree in education. She worked as a teacher for over 30 years for the Lapeer Country Schools in Michigan. She was a member of the Pompano Beach Garden Club as well as The Garden Club of Lighthouse Point.
Juanita is preceded in death by her parents Samuel Dovonno and Virginia Dovonno and both of her husbands Clayton I. Cocking and William R. Hoose.
Juanita is survived by her son Kevin J. Cocking, her daughters Kimberly K. Cocking-Swistoski and Kristie G. Cocking, her son-in-law Paul C. Swistoski and her 3 grandsons Jason C. Swistoski, Joel P. Swistoski, and Ajay Kakarni.
A graveside service will take place on Saturday September 13, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Ottawa Park Cemetery in Clarkston, MI.
