Kristin Michele Brown Born October 19, 1969 in Pompano Beach, FL. Kristin was a lifetime resident of Pompano Beach and passed away January 6, 2016 in her home town. Kristin was the daughter of Robert and Constance (Moore) Bessette lifelong residents of Pompano Beach Florida. She graduated from Cardinal Gibbons High School in 1987. Kristin worked for several years in the financial industry as a financial assistant. Kristin loved people, pets, movies and music. She fought a 20 year battle with her drug addiction which eventually took her life. We pray that Kristin’s death will not be in vain and that those who are seeking recovery will find sobriety and a relationship with the God of their understanding. Kristin is survived by her parents Robert and Constance (Moore) Bessette of Pompano Beach, her half-brother Adam Thofner and wife Amy as well as their son Scott Steven Thofner of Fort Pierce Florida. Kristin had many close friends in the Pompano Beach area that were connected to her through a 12-step program as well as Christian Community. Kristin is predeceased by her grandparents Russell and Dorothy Moore of Pompano Beach and Ardis and Harold Brown of Boca Raton ; her birth father Robert N. Brown and Uncle Barry Brown of Boca Raton Florida. We pray that all who were touched by Kristin’s life will remember her beautiful smile and infectious laugh that was an outward expression of her great love of her family and joy in her friendships. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Kraeer Funeral Home in Pompano Beach. The funeral will be held on Saturday January 16th, at 2pm at Christ Community Church in Pompano Beach, 901 East McNab Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33060.
