Mark David Harrison grew up in Lexington and Westford Massachusetts. His parents were James and Alberta Harrison from Westford, Massachusetts. He was the baby of the family and his older brothers and sisters are Jim, Arlene, George, Joan, John, and Rhoda who are all deceased. He is survived by his wife Bonnie, daughter Zoe, son Brett and seven grandchildren - Christian, Cayla, Carson, Camden, Nolan, Brooklyn and Riley. Along with his daughter in law Jill and great grandson Jaydian. His nieces Karen Minerak and Zoe Rivard as well as nephews Bruce and Mark Hunt and John and Bryce Harrison were still active in his life and he kept in touch with them. His surviving in-laws are Linda, Peter, Cheryl, Kerry and Chris. And brother-in-law Roger who is deceased.
He loved his cars and boats and trucks and cranes. He loved traveling around the country in his van delivering boats and seeing the many beautiful sites. He also loved his many hats, his variety of shoes and boots, his funky socks and gadgety things. He loved to cook and showed his love in that way. He loved fishing and brought the grandkids to the pier in Ft. Lauderdale and deep sea fishing.
He also loved his meetings, his sponsor, and sponsees and his fellowship. He had a wonderful relationship with God and communicated daily devotions with his fellows every morning. He loved to ride along the beach early in the morning and see the sunrise, drinking his venti iced latte with vanilla sweet cream and double Splenda with a shot of espresso.
Mark was a hard worker and some of the many jobs he had were restaurant owner, body shop owner, homebuilding company, scrap metal business, crane operator, truck driver, transporting boats and many, many others including working at a dry cleaners at 16 where he met his wife Bonnie. He truly was a jack of all trades!
Most of all he loved his family. He loved just spending time with them and going to their many baseball games and sporting events. Including freezing in ice arenas and going to horseback riding events—he enjoyed whatever they were into at the time. One of the things we will miss is his variety of stories, he had one for every occasion!
He was married for 37 years and knew his wife Bonnie for 60 years. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved taking people out on his boat for hours. He owned a cottage in New Hampshire where he loved to watch the kids and their friends on jet skis and take them all water skiing. He knew how to enjoy life and he was a very funny man. He was loved by many and will be fondly remembered as a good man, loving, caring and doing the best he could.
