Michael (Mike or Mikey) Winston Brochu, 56, of Lighthouse Point, Florida, passed away on April 19, 2025. A loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend, his sudden loss leaves a deep ache in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Mikey was known for his uncanny ability to fix anything. He was always down for a great time but never too busy to help anyone. He loved being on the water and sharing nis passions with everyone around him, whether that was teaching his kids how to fix their cars or teaching his wife to scuba dive in their pool. He was there for everyone with a solution, a story, or a perfectly timed sarcastic joke.
His passion didn't stop at hobbies. He was a devote supporter of our troops and the sacrifices made to keep our country safe. He supported multiple organizations including Naked Warrior Project, Phantom Rescue, and Tunnels to Towers Foundation.
Mike was the person you called when your car wouldn't start... or when your world felt like it was falling apart. He never asked for recognition, never wanted the spotlight-he just wanted to make things better for the people around him. He did that, every day. There wasn't anyone he came across that didn't become family- he was the person that somehow made time to check in and call everyone.
Mikey is survived by his loving wife, Robin; his children, Sara (and her husband, Cody), Michael, and'" Brooke (and her husband, Josiah); his parents, Michael and Joan; his sisters, Rebecca (and her husband, Sam) and Elizabeth (and her husband, Dave); his sister-in-law Kim (and her husband Kendrick); his father-in-law John; many more family members, and friends that were family. Mike's love for his family was unwavering. He built not just a home, but a life full of laughter, loyalty, and warmth-values that now live on through the people he raised and loved.
In lieu of flowers we ask that you make a donation to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation, one of the many groups Mike supported. We also ask that you honor Mike by doing what he did best: help someone. Fix something. Show up for someone who needs it. That's how he lived-and that's how he'll be remembered.
