Nancy (Rugar) Tack, 76, of Deerfield Beach, FL , beloved wife to the late Nathan Tack, passed away after a long illness on Thursday, April 10, 2025. She was born on January 6, 1949, in Hartford, CT, one of five children to Lois (Smith) and David Rugar.
Nancy grew up in Windsor CT, attended local schools and was a graduate of Windsor High School, Class of 1967. Following high school, Nancy was involved in hospitality, she was in the local music industry and was a Nanny among the many jobs she enjoyed over the years. She lived the last 34 years in Florida.
Nancy was a social butterfly who often made everlasting impressions through her kindness, candor, and carefree nature. She loved to spend time with family and friends and loved to dance - she would not miss a good party! She also was a wonderful cook and anything she made was enjoyed by all!
She was a Devoted Wife, Loving Mother and Grandmother, and Loyal Friend who always was the life of the party! You were never bored when Nancy was around – she had enough energy for everyone!
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Sharp and her husband Jason Sharp; her two grandchildren, Anic and Jagger of Columbia, SC; as well as her siblings, Gary Rugar and his wife Judy of Windsor, CT; Mark Rugar of East Hartford, CT; Janet Matarazzo and her husband Joe of South Windsor, CT; Scott Rugar of Windsor Locks, CT; she also leaves a brother-in-law and sister-in-law and many nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends.
We want to thank her very good friend and caretaker, Leslie Stanley, for the wonderful, loving care she provided Nancy and her endearing friendship.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by both of her parents, Lois and David Rugar.
A private burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens North will be held at the convenience of the family.
