Beloved husband, son, brother and friend. He cherished the love of his wife and dogs. He lived life to the fullest. He loved extreme sports and had a “need for speed”. From 2 wheels to 4 wheels to water crafts – the faster the better. He always said, “If you can’t pour gas in it, there was no use for it.” The original “Rebel Rouser”.
He was a successful businessman, caring and generous. Shared the good life with his family and friends. He enjoyed traveling and always invited many. He was flirtatious with every female he met. His presence was larger than life, literally and figuratively.
Upon passing, he was rebuilding their hurricane damaged beach house. His deepest wish was to repair their home so that Mitzi would not be left with the burden on her own. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for home improvement support to help accomplish this wish.
He will be missed by all that knew him. He may leave a hole in your heart, but fill it with good memories and we will all heal together. As long as we hold on to our memories, he will always be alive in our hearts. He is survived by his wife, Marie “Mitzi” Meyers-Herndon; mother, Mimi; father, Kennedy; “brother”, Stan; sister, Kari; brother-in-law, nieces, great niece, nephew, aunts, uncles, many cousins and in-laws.
Memorial pending until further notice – probably late August.
Condolences may be sent to:
