Ray Larkin passed away peacefully on February 7 after a very sudden decline in health. He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Joan, son, Ray, grandson, Christopher, sister, Regina, and many beloved cousins. He is predeceased by son, Gary and first wife, Kitty.
Ray was born in NYC on April 14,1926. He graduated from St. Michael Academy in 1944 and went directly into the Army where he proudly served in both the European and Pacific Arenas.
After the war, Ray began a long, successful career in the retail credit field where he was greatly admired and respected. After many years of service with American Express Company, he retired as an Executive Vice President in 1991.
Ray had a great love for the “good life” and generously shared those good times with friends and family. He enjoyed and orchestrated many family reunions and parties with friends. He loved horse races, casinos, first class travel, Crown Royal Manhattans on the rocks, and , of course, ice cream!
Ray will be missed by all of us who shared in his long and wonderful life.
A Visitation will be held for Raymond at Forest Lawn North Funeral Home 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 1-3PM; immediately followed by a Memorial Service from 3-4PM where Military Honors will be rendered.
