Richard William Finnegan

Dick Finnegan passed away on Monday July 18, 2011. He was born in Braintree, Massachusetts and is survived by his daughters Kelley Finnnegan and Patti Hudson; grandchildren Brianna Finnegan and Josh Hudson; great grandchildren Adam and Haley; sisters Sheila Newcomb, Eleanor Bridgewood, Sally, Patty, Carol, and Mary Alice Finnegan; and brother Jack Finnegan. Dick was preceded in death by his son Danny and his bother Sonny. Dick graduated from Archbishop Williams High School in Braintree and proudly served as a Marine in the Korean War. He was employed by Coca-Cola and began his career establishing many pizza and sub shops including College Pizza in Brookline, Massachusetts. After moving to Florida, he opened many Fat Freddy's Sub Shops. Many Family members and good Friends were with him at the time of his death. He was a fun loving gentle soul and will be truly missed. The family appreciates the love and support of Friends and neighbors that have always been there for him. He will have a military burial with honors at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lakeworth, Florida. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice by the Sea, (1531 West Palmetto Park Road, Boca Raton, FL 33486 (561) 395-5031) in Dick's name.
