Rita Marie Schneider passed away peacefully on January 29, 2015. Rita was born in Ithaca, New York to Victor C. and Gertrude Ford Schneider on July 2, 1929. Rita graduated from Manhattanville College of the Sacred Heart in New York City (now in Purchase, New York).She taught school briefly in Binghamton, New York and then worked for the CIA in Washington, D.C, before retiring to Pompano Beach.Rita is survived by her sister, Gertrude Welsh Sellers, of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, seven nieces and nephews, 17 grand-nieces and nephews and 16 great grand-nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held 11AM, Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church (3331 NE 10th Terrace, Pompano Beach, FL 33064 ). Inurnment is to follow at 1:00PM at Forest Lawn Cemetery.(200 W. Copans Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33064).
