Ronald Lee Plotkin, 77, of 3300 NE 36th Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL passed away on July 31, 2018. He was born in Los Angeles, CA on March 11, 1941 to the late Edith and Morris Plotkin. Ron and his life partner, Douglas Gorab, resided in Ft Lauderdale for 17 years. He was retired from Standard & Poors where he was Director of Circulation in NYC. Ron had a passion for Tap dancing and appeared with the Original Florida Follies as the only male tap dancer for 7 years. He was president of his coop Boards for 9 years in NY and 3 years in FL. He also volunteered at Imperial Point Hospital.
He is survived by his life partner Douglas Gorab. His sister Ida Block and sister-in-law Pat Koenig; his brother Les Symons, from California. Ron was the youngest of 10 siblings.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, August 5, 2018: Viewing from 2:00PM to 4:00PM, Service at 4:00PM with a repast immediately following at the same location.
Ron supported various children’s charities for many years. Donations can be made to Children’s Diagnostic and Treatment Center, Ft Lauderdale or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
