Rosa Servideo

Rosa Servideo passed away at Trustbridge Hospice Care Center in Boca Raton, FL on March 21, 2023 at the age of 88. She was loved by many, especially her husband Pasquale (deceased), daughter Rosetta Hassel (Brian), sons Vito Servideo (deceased) and Vito Servideo (Cathi), her grandchildren Valerie, Victoria, Brianna and Brayden, her siblings Fiore Zuccarelli (deceased), Vincent Zuccarelli (deceased), Lucia Zuccarelli (deceased) Laura Sacco (deceased), Flora Nudo of Carmel, NY, Silvio Zuccarelli (deceased) and Ralph Zuccarelli of West Palm Beach, FL and many many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Rosa was born on February 15, 1935, in Mongrassano, Calabria, Italy to the late Mario and Olimpia (Licursi) Zuccarelli. She was born a fighter and after witnessing the effects of World War II on her small town in Italy, she came to New York in 1953 where she worked as a professional seamstress doing the beadwork of some of the most elaborate and expensive dresses during that time. She soon met and married her husband Pasquale in 1958. In 1973, they moved to Florida and opened Pasquale's Pizza on Atlantic Blvd in Pompano Beach. She operated that business until 1990 when she relocated her business to the Cove Shopping Center in Deerfield Beach, and renamed it Rosa's Pizza. She ran that business with her children until 1999. Rosa was many things throughout her life. She was a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a mother-in-law, an aunt, a friend, a seamstress, a restauranteur, but in 2002, she earned the title of “Nonna”, and we think that was her favorite accomplishment.

Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, March 28, 2023 from 6-9 pm at Forest Lawn in Pompano Beach, FL. Her funeral will be at 10 am at Mary Help of Christians in Parkland, FL on Wednesday, March 29, 2023. Immediately following mass, there will be a brief ceremony at Forest Lawn prior to her entombment. The family would like to request that no flowers be sent to the funeral home at Rosa’s request.
