Thomas G. McAndrews

Thomas G. McAndrews, Sr. passed away July 11th 2017 at the age of 91. He was born on September 30, 1925 to Anna Francis Fuchs and Thomas Joseph McAndrews in New York City, NY. Tom was a child of God, a devoted family man, and a patriot.

He married Joan E. Keller on May 23rd 1948 in New York City, NY. He proudly served in the Navy during World War II aboard the U.S.S. Baltimore.

One of New York’s Finest, Thomas is a retired inspector of the NYPD. He concluded his law enforcement career as a Medical Quality Assurance Investigator with the State of Florida’s Business and Professional Regulation Division.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, son James Joseph McAndrews, daughter-in-law Ellie Chapman McAndrews and his brothers, Joseph and George McAndrews, and brother-in-law Richard Doyen.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 69 years Joan, son Thomas G. McAndrews, JR., daughter Kathleen J. McAndrews-Schuld, son-in-law Raymond N. Schuld, daughter-in-law Leona McAndrews, sister Charlotte McAndrews-Doyen, grandsons Randal Paul Schuld and his wife, Lori , Eric Andrew Schuld and his wife, Tonya , grandchildren Morgan and Tucker Schuld and step Great-Grandson, Mason Harrington, and many loving nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Friday, July 14,from 1:00 pm to 5 :00 pm with service beginning at 4:00 pm
