It is with great sadness that the family of Thomas G. Trombino announce his passing unexpectedly on July 29th 2019 at the age of 59. Born in Detroit, Michigan, Tom had been a Floridian for over 53 years. Affectionately called ‘Tommy’ by his family and friends he had a sociable personality, contagious laugh, and the ability to make everyone smile.

In his youth, Tom was an athlete who excelled in baseball and golf and was an avid sport fisherman. Proudly catching a 150 pound sailfish alongside his brother Joseph, which was then hung on the wall in the home he grew up in, on Fort Lauderdale beach. During that time he was also an altar server at St. Pius X Catholic Church for over a decade with his brothers Michael, Paul and best friend Ed Mooney.

During his earlier adulthood Tom was in the family business that his father and mother, Dr. and Mrs. James Trombino had established. At that time named ‘Flamingo Road Nursery’ Tom was a landscape contractor for many years and worked alongside his brothers John, Joseph and Paul, as well as sisters Kathleen, Margaret, Veronica and Andrea.

Later in adulthood Tom took on various ventures in real estate, business and networking. Tom spent many years as a successful international sales and marketing executive, traveling through Central and South America, Asia as well as the United Kingdom. In addition to his travels, Tom owned and operated a popular restaurant in Fort Lauderdale as well as other establishments in the area. As a cigar aficionado Tom opened his own cigar bar ‘Florida Cigar Company’ in 2006, where he and his oldest brothers Jim and John would love to reminisce.

Always the jet-setter, Tom traveled throughout several continents and also had previously lived in other countries for a number of years. He loved to travel and enjoyed the cultures of the various places he visited.

Tom will be missed dearly and was very special to all the people whose lives he touched. As per Tom’s final wishes he has been laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Pompano Beach, Florida.
