Tomasa Vergara, a gentle and kind-hearted soul, passed away on July 10, 2025, at the age of 96. Born on September 2, 1928, in Las Villas, Cuba, Tomasa was the beloved daughter of Hortensio Castellon and Adelaida Arguelles, both of whom predeceased her.
Tomasa was a faithful and loyal individual, known for her unwavering dedication to her family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Orlando Vergara. She is survived by her two daughters, Rosa Alonso and Carmen Vergara, son-in-law Gonzalo Alonso, as well as three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, four sisters and one brothers. Tomasa also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her three sisters and two brothers.
A visitation will be held on July 26, 2025, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Kraeer Funeral Home, located at 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33064. The funeral service will follow at the same venue from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, with a committal service immediately after from 3:00 pm to 3:15 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens North, aslo located at 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33064.
Tomasa will be remembered for her gentle spirit and the love she shared with all who knew her.
