He was the beloved son of George William Sims and Ruby Esther Knight Sims (deceased) of Pompano Beach, FL., cherished brother of Jean A. Sims of Deerfield Beach, FL and uncle of Cynthia Stine, Michael Stine, and Shannon Jamison.
Before retiring, Bill worked as a computer programmer on Wall Street for 25 years before later jobs in the financial market.
Bill had a passion for computers and electronics. He built his own computers and helped others with their computer issues. He was an avid book reader and loved to go to the movies, frequently writing reviews of the movies he saw.
A memorial service will be held at the Woodlands at John Knox Village on Thursday, December 22 at 3:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held in Marion, IL at a later date.
