Gladys Herndon

Gladys Marie Herndon, age 88, died Sunday, June 16, 2013 at her daughter’s residence in Saltillo. She was born on April 2, 1925 to Addison Craft Holloway and Jessie Eunice Young Holloway. She was a member of Hebron Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Services will be at 10 AM Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Rev. Junior Ritchie officiating; burial will follow in the Guinn Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her daughter: Brenda Lamb (Robert) of Saltillo, MS; one granddaughter: Monda Lamb of Saltillo, MS; and two brothers: Talmadge Holloway (Dorothy) of Pontotoc, MS and Dale Holloway (Bobbie) of Tupelo, MS.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Mondel “Pete” Herndon and two brothers: John Holloway and Bobby Holloway.

Pallbearers will be: Joe Cooper, Joe Young, Gary Washington, Ricky Miller, Kenny Sullivan and Joe Dodson.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Monday and from 9 to 10 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.
