Jimmy Lyndon Raby, age 80, died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Darlington Oaks in Verona, MS. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and was retired from the City of Pontotoc and Pontotoc Health Services. He enjoyed listening to Gospel and Country Music and mowing the grass.
Services will be at 1 PM Friday, February 1, 2013 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc with Rev. Steve Parrish officiating; burial will follow in the Ecru Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his children: Tammie Short (Chris) and Johnny Raby (Melody) both of Ecru, MS, and five grandchildren: Ashley Ehlers, Kayla Raby, Lindsey Raby, Wesley Scott and Austin Short.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Jimmy Hamilton Raby and Mary Bell Graddy Raby, his wife: Flossie Mae Dillard Raby and a sister: Linda Hemker.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Thursday and from 11 to 1 PM Friday at the funeral home.
