Lillie Ophelia Brown

Lillie Ophelia Brown, age 89, died Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Sunshine Health Care in Pontotoc. She was born on February 21, 1924 to James Robert Rutledge and Florence Stewart Rutledge. She was a member of Ecru Baptist Church and a retired beautician.

Services will be at 2 PM Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Ecru Baptist Church with Rev. Barry Littlefield officiating; burial will follow in the Ecru Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her daughter: Gail Guyton (John) of Knoxville, TN; two sons: Joe Brown (Avis) and Jerry Brown, both of Ecru, MS; eight grandchildren: Scott Brown, Tonya Smith, Brett Brown, Felecia Pollard, Paige Norton, Jennifer Johnson, Brad Brown and Darla Webb and sixteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Wayne Brown; two sisters: Mavis Davis and Dorothy Crook and two brothers: James R. Rutledge, Jr. and Nathaniel Rutledge.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Monday at the funeral home and from 12 to 2 PM Tuesday at the church.
