

Lillie Ruth Hamblin Day, age 87, died Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. She was a member of Cherry Creek Baptist Church and retired from Futorian Manufacturing. She enjoyed collecting dolls, crocheting, cooking and spending time with her family.
Services will be at 2 PM Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc, with Rev. Gene Hudson and Rev. Clyde Pound officiating, burial will follow in the Ingomar Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her daughter: Janice Pound (Keith) of Longview; one son: David Hamblin (Pam) of Ingomar; six grandchildren: Brandy Oltremari (Greg) of Southaven, MS, Stacy Hamblin (Brandy) of Booneville, Angie Rooker, Bonnie Wilson (Frank), Carla Howe (Bernie) and Brian Pound, all of Pontotoc; eleven great-grandchildren: Blake Rooker, Kaylee Carpenter, Bella Hamblin, Mercy Clare Oltremari, Elijah Oltremari, Israel Oltremari, MaryRose Oltremari, Drake Merritt, Dayn Wilson, Valerie Tutor and Corie Lucroy.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Roy Cobb and Maggie Parrish Cobb; her husbands: Stacy Hamblin and Glover Day; her son: Phillip Anthony Hamblin; a grandson: Timothy Lavon Canerdy; and her siblings: B.T. Cobb, Otto Cobb, S.D. Cobb, and Merle Basham.
Pallbearers will be: Stacy Hamblin, Greg Oltremari, Donnie Cobb, Harlon Hamblin, Blake Rooker, Derrick Carpenter, Ike McCarter and Wayne Littlejohn.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Wednesday and from 1 to 2 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
