Margaret Ann Hale

Margaret Ann Gooch Hale, age 88, passed away Friday, August 19, 2016 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in New Albany. She was born June 30, 1928 to Walt and Vivian Gooch. She married Charlie C. Hale and they were blessed with three daughters. She was a member of Hurricane Baptist Church and was a homemaker and former school teacher.

Services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Hurricane Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Barefield, Rev. Phillip Brock and Rev. Doug Jones officiating, burial will follow in the Warren Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her three daughters: Donna Barefield (Ronnie) of Ripley, MS, Betty Stubblefield (Steve) and Lisa Kidd, both of Pontotoc, MS; one sister, Jean McGee of Pontotoc, MS; six grandchildren: Kevin Barefield (April), Anna Ward (Michael), Stephanie Breedlove (David), Haley Stewart (Don Kelly), Adam Stubblefield (Brandy) and Rhett Russell; and nine great-grandchildren: Bo and Jack Barefield, Vivi Ward, Kypton and Auden Breedlove, Elly and Hayes Stewart and Cohen and Willa Kate Stubblefield.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walt and Vivivan Gooch; her husband, Charlie C. Hale, and a brother: Keith Gooch.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Barefield, Adam Stubblefield, Rhett Russell, David Breedlove, Don Kelly Stewart and Michael Ward.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
