Mary Jo Roye

Mary Jo Robbins Roye, died Monday, March 04, 2013 at Sanctuary Hospice House after a long battle with cancer. She was born September 8, 1934 to John and Ninnie Mae Robbins. She married Donald Roye on October 13, 1952. She was a lifelong member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed her “Red Hat Society Group” and friends from Camp Bluebird. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and was loved by all.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Fred Hartley and Rev. Paul Sims officiating. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her husband, her brother: Billy D. Robbins, her sister: Sandra Guyton; her children: Donny Roye (Donna), Ina Graham (Anthony) and Lisa Hardin; her grandchildren: Allison Huey (Trey), Jackson Roye (Elena), Austin Roye, Forrest Jenkins (Jake), Casey Pernell (John), Jessie Jones (Cassie), and Ben Hardin; and three great granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son-in-law: Paul W. Dillard.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday and from 12 to 2 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
