Sherry Jonita Bishop

Sherry Jonita Bishop, age 81, died Tuesday November 1, 2016 at NMMC Tupelo Hospice. She was born March 30, 1935 to the late P.L. Tutor and Edith Swain Tutor. She attended By Faith Baptist Church and was a member of the Eastern Star. She was a retired Nurses Aid. She enjoyed quilting, growing flowers, reading and crocheting.

Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc, with Bro. Johnny Taylor officiating, burial will follow in Pontotoc City Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for the family.

Survivors include her children Diane Brown (Rodger) of Tupelo, MS , Marquita Bland (Jimmy) of Pontotoc, MS, Lisa Taylor (Johnny) of Pontotoc, MS, Billy Randle Bishop (Lisa) of Oxford, MS, and Darrell Bishop (Shelia) of Oxford, MS; one sister Kaye Boyd of Pontotoc, MS; her grandchildren Michael Bland (Jamie), J.Greg Brown (Erin), Chad Randle Bishop, Susan Daughdrill (Phil), Ashley Taylor, Nathan Taylor (Felicia), Amber Bishop (James Ray) and Randie Rose Sporles (Chad Allen) her great grandchildren Kerrie Bland, John Braxton Daughdrill, Chad Randle Bishop, Jr, Laura Lee Brown, Jeb Brown, Braden Smith, Abbey Taylor, Hopson Daughdrill, Ashby Brown, Drake Sporles and Mary Morgan Brown

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Billy L. Bishop and a sister, Peggy Tutor.

Pallbearers will be Michael Bland, J. Greg Brown, Chad Randle Bishop, Nathan Taylor, John Braxton Daughdrill, Jeb Brown, and Braden Smith.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm on Thursday until service time.
