Calvin "Boots" Travis Carpenter

Calvin was born December 27, 1938 in Denham Springs, Louisiana to Edward Clinton Carpenter and Bonnie Lucille Achord Carpenter. He was a retired Subcontractor, and of the Baptist faith. He married the former Wendy Desselles on June 3, 1995 in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Doris Carpenter, Daisy Carpenter; two brothers, Carter Carpenter, Freddy Carpenter; and one grandson, Jeffrey Todd Carpenter, II.

Surviving are his wife of 22 years, Wendy Carpenter; two sons, Travis Dwayne Carpenter, Jeffrey Todd Carpenter, I; one daughter, Tasha Leigh (John) Humphrey; eight grandchildren, Ryan Daniel Carpenter, Jaycie Lynn Carpenter, Benjamin Taylor Carpenter, Christopher Lee Carpenter, Michelle Carpenter, Shayne Carpenter, Kristen Ockey, Leigh Humphrey; numerous great grandchildren; four siblings, Dalton Carpenter, Margie Smith, Richard Carpenter, and Willie Carpenter.

Funeral services will be at WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, MS, 39470 on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Cemetery in Lumberton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, Wednesday at the funeral home.
