Charles Arthur Smith

Mr. Smith was born October 28, 1941 in Picayune, Mississippi to Argile Arthur Smith and Leona Givens Smith. He was a heavy equipment operator and of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Johnny F. Smith; and one sister who passed at birth.

Family members include his wife of 56 years, Judy Spiers Smith; two sons, Travis (Stacie) Smith; Charles Shasta (Dawn) Smith; one daughter, Paula (Joseph) Jackson; nine grandchildren, Brock (Katelyn) Jackson, Colton Jackson, Chandler Jackson, Ashlyn Smith, Dalton Smith, Jody Smith, Baileigh Smith, Brylee Smith, Banxton Smith; three great grandchildren, Alexus Jackson, Brysen Jackson, and Alyssa Jackson; mother-in law, Ocie Mae Spiers; two sisters-in-law, Jan Stumph, Sandra Giadrosich and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Graveside funeral services will be held at Smith Cemetery, 291 Joe Smith Road, Carriere, Mississippi, 39426 on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 10:00 am. Rev. Shane Giadrosich and Rev. Wesley Quave will officiate the service. The family will receive friends and have visitation from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Tuesday at White Funeral Home, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, MS, 39470.
