Clifton Lee Smith

Mr. Smith was born December 22, 1919 in the Savannah Community of Poplarville, Mississippi to P.S. Smith and Talitha Stewart Smith. Mr. Smith was retired poultry farmer and a member of Juniper Grove Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in World War II.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Dunnam Smith; his second wife, Donnie Merle Smith; siblings, Elbert Smith, Elwin Smith, and Myrtis Smith Dennis.

Family members include two children, Lee Allen (the late Karen Commarato) Smith, Katherine (C.J.) Merritt; grandchildren, Tim (Masha) Smith, Caitlin (Kyle) Tuil, Richard (Brittnay) Smith, Marie Carpenter, Paula Merritt; ten great grandchildren; a host of extended family, friends, and neighbors.

Funeral services will be held at White Funeral Home, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, MS, 39470 on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Juniper Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends and have visitation one hour prior to the service.
