George H. Pierce

George was preceded in death by his mother and father, George Emerson Pierce and Ruth Dean Pierce, his wife of 54 years, Lillian Valerie Pierce, his daughter, Cynthia (Cindy) Pierce, and son, George Richard (Rick) Pierce.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Anne Pierce, his daughter, Suzanne Oddo and husband, Dave Oddo, and daughter, Phyllis Hand and husband, Bernie Hand, 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

After experiencing a conversion experience at the age of 13, George became a young revival preacher and then began a life long career with National Shirt Shops, ending that journey after 48 years as Vice-President of Marketing in the New York office. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who was loved in return and will be greatly missed,

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Greenwood Cemetery, 5200 Canal Boulevard, New Orleans, LA.
