Geraldine Burge

Mrs. Burge was a real estate agent, insurance sales woman, and a homemaker. A faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church, she served the Lord as a Sunday School Teacher and was a former member of the Board of Trustee's at Pearl River Community College. Mrs. Burge also was a founding member of the Pearl River County Chapter of the Mississippi State Home Extension Service and The Poplarville Blueberry Jubilee.

Jerry will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Serena Clark; her husband, Virgil O. Burge; one daughter, Dana Jo Burge, and one grandson, Alex Burge.

Survivors include three sons, George (Jan) Burge; Bruce (Ava) Burge, all of Poplarville, MS, and Scott Burge of Gulfport, MS; four grandchildren, Robin (Bill) Nix, Katie (Ted) Roland, Chad (Brandi) Burge, and Jason Burge; and four great-grandchildren; Phoebe Nix, Penelope Nix, Sarah Roland, and Elleigh James Burge.

Friends are invited to attend her funeral ceremony at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Bethel Baptist Church, 7451 Highway 43, Poplarville, Mississippi 39470 with interment following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends and have visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

In lieu of flowers and customary remembrances, memorials may be directed to Bethel Baptist Church.
