Funeral services will be at WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, MS, 39470 on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 11:00 am. Rev. Harry Davis will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Crane Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends and have visitation one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Smith was born March 7, 1925 in Pearl River County, Mississippi to William Varnado and Pearl Hennes Varnado. She was the owner of Kut and Kurl; T & G Grocery and a member of Crane Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Troy E. Smith; and seven siblings, Ethel Hale, William Varnado, Jr., L.C. Varnado, Van Varnado, Iris Schonewitz, Mae Pearl Ladnier, and Edith Varnado.

Family members include two children, Jerry R. (Connie) Smith, Candy McNease; four grandchildren, Kurt D. Smith, Danny (Tammy) McNease, Brandi McNease, Troy “T.J.” (Sophia) Smith; five great grandchildren, Kristian Smith, Avery Ortmann, Jacob Ortmann, Jerry P. Smith, and Grace McNease.
