Glorine Shaw Wilson

Mrs. Glorine Shaw Wilson, a beloved resident of the Savannah Community, was born on May 8, 1943, in Hancock County, Mississippi, to the late Lennox Shaw and Katie Cuevas Smith. She peacefully passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023, in Poplarville, Mississippi, at the age of 80, following a brief battle with cancer.

Glorine was a cherished member of the Poplarville Community, where she had resided for a significant portion of her life. She was a loving and devoted wife to her late husband, Mr. Ottis Ernest Wilson, with whom she shared 53 years of cherished memories. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Ottis Brian "Matthew" Hagwood.

Left to cherish her memory are her three children; Travis Laverne Ladner, Priscilla Wilson Hagwood and E. Lachee Wilson Davis. Her legacy extends to her two grandchildren, Corley Trey Davis and Deanna Renee Davis and her great-grandson, Abel Hayden Hagwood, all of Poplarville, Mississippi. Glorine is also survived by her siblings; JD Shaw (Frankie Jane), Jeffrey Shaw (Tonya), Betty Farmer, Milton Shaw, Janis Dedeaux (Larry) and Cecelia Dot Shaw. She leaves behind a multitude of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.

Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Glorine Shaw Wilson will be held at White Funeral Home, located at 315 Hwy 11 South, Poplarville, Mississippi, on Friday, October 13, 2023 at 2:00 pm. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at the Barney Hickman Cemetery in Saucier, Mississippi.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and share their condolences during visitation hours at the funeral home on Friday, starting at 11:00 am and concluding at 2:00 pm. The service will be officiated by Bro. Harry Davis.

Mrs. Glorine Shaw Wilson will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, kindness and enduring love that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
