Helen Stevens Breland

Mrs. Breland was born August 10, 1929 in Poplarville, Mississippi to Sidney M. and Birdie Newman Stevens. She was a retired human resources officer with the Pearl River County Hospital and Nursing Home and a member of First Baptist Church, Poplarville.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Hugo Spence Breland; siblings, Daniel Stevens, Fred Stevens, Larry Stevens, Marie Whitfield, Dorothy Dedeaux, and Betty Faye Zilgett.

Family members include two sons, Sidney Bruce (Becky) Breland, Tommy Hugh (Kathy) Breland; four grandchildren, Michelle (James) Blakely, Brian Hugh Breland, Karen (Rusty) Minton, Robin (Richard) Rogers, Nikki Breland, Traci (Richard) Knight; great grandchildren, Preston Blakely, Connor Blakely, Austin Minton, Brooklyn Minton, Brantley Rogers, and Montana Rogers.

Funeral services will be held at White Funeral Home, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, MS, 39470 on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at 3:00 pm. Rev.Kip Smith will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Poplarville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends and have visitation two hours prior to the service, Sunday at the funeral home.
