H.K. "Buster" Herndon Jr.

Buster was born March 24, 1949 in Poplarville, Mississippi. He was a retired builder and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of Faith Memorial Baptist Church and had been a deacon with West Poplarville Baptist Church and Whitesand Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, H.K. Herndon, Sr. and Ozella Brewer Herndon; one son, Michael Dennis Herndon; one brother, Dennis Darrell Herndon; and two sisters, Judy Ladner and Aline Vaughn.

Family members include his wife of 53 years, Myrna J. Ryals Herndon; two sons, Josh Herndon and Brandon Herndon; siblings, Linda Lee, Vicki Spiers, Michael Herndon; grandchildren, Evan Herndon, Darian Herndon, Erin Herndon; great grandchildren, Silas Herndon and Elise Herndon.

Graveside services will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery (579 Oak Hill Road, Poplarville, MS, 39470) on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at 10:00 am. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, at the cemetery.
