Inez Miller, age 88, entered her heavenly home on November 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 21, 1937, and on May 21, 1954, she married the love of her life, Robert H. Miller. They shared 30 wonderful years of marriage before his passing.
Inez devoted more than four decades of her life to caring for others. She became a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1977 and served at Pearl River County Nursing Home for 33 years. Prior to that, she worked as a nurse’s aide at Pearl River County Hospital and Nursing Home for 10 years, becoming one of the first aides when the nursing home opened in 1973. Her compassion, dedication, and gentle spirit left a lasting mark on countless lives in our community.
Known throughout the community as a devout Christian woman, Inez faithfully lived out her love for the Lord. She served through Sunday School, Discipleship Training, Vacation Bible School, WMU, senior adult ministry, and numerous mission trips across the United States. She used her gifts - baking cakes, pecan tassies, making cheese balls, and even offering nail care - to bless others and support missions.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Miller; her father, Willie David Pullen; mother, Clara Elizabeth Pullen; her brother, Lorenzo Pullen; her brother, Billy Pullen; her brother, James Pullen; her great granddaughter, Nora Miller, and her great granddaughter, Lilla Maldonado.
She is survived by her son, Richard “Moose” Miller (Angella); her son, Dr. Robert Paul Miller (Christina), and daughter, Judy Lynn Martinez (Felix). She is also survived by her brother, Roger Pullen (Earnestine), her sisters, Nell Myrick, and Josephine Nix (Bud). Her legacy lives on through 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Her life was a testimony to her Savior, Jesus Christ, whom she loved and served faithfully. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of faith, compassion, and service will continue to live on in the lives of all who knew her.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful.” 2 Timothy 4:7
