Mrs. Ira Dornath

Ira M. Dornath, (Smith) our mother, grand-mother and great-grandmother, left us on July 14, 2015. She was born in Wiggins, Mississippi on September 9, 1935 to the late Roland and Lucille Smith. She was preceded in death by her brother, R.K. Smith, Christine Legg and Graceabee Bell.

She leaves behind, to cherish her memory, her six children; Charles Sweeney of Lumberton, Mississippi, Carol Coker of San Jose, California, Teresa Malicoat, Bill Sweeney, and Lisa Nisely all of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Robert Dornath of San Leandro, California. She was the proud grand-mother to nine and great-grandmother to four.

Mom was a strong, kind and loving woman who raised her children to embrace those traits, and we, in turn tried to pass those strengths to her grand-children. We will miss her terribly, but will strive to make her proud by living our lives with the strength, kindness and love she taught us.

Funeral services will be at White Funeral Home, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, MS, 39470 on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Smithtown Cemetery. The family will receive friends and have visitation from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Saturday at the funeral home.
