James "Byrd Dog" Byrd

Mr. Byrd was a retired truck driver with Pearl River County and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Edsel Byrd and Laura Smith Byrd Odom; and one brother, Timmy Byrd.

Family members include his wife 40 years, Cheryl Seal Byrd; one son, Timothy Ryan Byrd and his wife, Alicia; three grandchildren, Jakob Gergal, Blake Byrd, Molly Byrd; one brother, Justin Odom and his wife, Elizabeth; one sister, Jennie Seal and her husband Danny; his stepfather, Robert Earl Odom, Jr.; one sister-in-law, Lorri Redish and her husband Joseph; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Memorial services will be at Bethel Baptist Church (7451 Highway 43, Poplarville, MS, 39470) on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 7:00 pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
