James Raymond Tynes

James Raymond Tynes, 71, of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, entered into eternal life and went to be Home with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on June 20, 2022 in Merit Health - Wesley Medical Center, Hattiesburg.

Mr. Tynes was born August 13, 1950. He was a pressman in the printing industry. He was a musician in the Army Field Band during the Vietnam War, posted in Germany.

Mr. Tynes is preceded in death by his parents, Brother Warren Tynes and Loretta McCarty Tynes; two siblings, Tommy Tynes, Yvonne Tynes; and one nephew, Sam Tynes.

Survivors include two brothers, John Tynes, Bill Tynes and his wife Rose; two nephews, Caleb Tynes, Gabriel Tynes; one niece, Sunshine Tynes; and a host of extended family, friends, and neighbors.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Jim will be held at Oak Hill Baptist Church (579 Oak Hill Road, Poplarville, MS, 39470) on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 11:00 am. Private burial will follow. The family will receive friends and have visitation one hour prior to the service, Saturday at the church.
