John W. Miller

John served in the United States Navy for four years. After discharge, he became a member of the Mississippi Highway Patrol, where he served 36 years before his retirement. At the time of his death, he served as a bailiff for the Pearl River County Court.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John Foreman Miller and Mildred Laughlin Miller; and one brother, Charles Miller.

Family members include his wife, Janet "Sissy" Miller; children, Christine Parks, Paul (Martha) Miller, Samantha (Jerry) Carscaden; grandchildren, Jessica (Levi) Sill, Paige (Cody) Ladner, Carsen (Makayla) Miller, Alyssa Parks, Alex Carscaden, Kalie Carscaden, Katelyn Carscaden, Alvin Carscaden, Toby Carscaden; great grandchildren, Fynlea Ladner, Maze Ladner, Millee Ladner; one sister, Katherine (Archie) Wise; and one brother, Kenny (Reta) Miller.

Graveside services will be held at the Smith Family, Old Steephollow Cemetery (64 Barth Road, Poplarville, MS, 39470) on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 10:00 am.
