

June was an accomplished artist and pianist. She showed an unusual talent at the tender age of six. June "married and buried everybody in Wichita County, Texas" - playing the piano for almost every funeral and wedding in town. In addition to her talents on the piano, she was a skilled drummer and accordion player. She was actively playing three days before her death.
She was an equally accomplished painter and took pride in being a homemaker and a devoted member of Oak Hill Baptist Church, where she was an Adult Ladies Sunday School Teacher and assisted with GA's.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Horace Cecil Ellis and Beatrice Viola Edgar Ellis; her husband, James M. Hunt; one brother, Wayne Ostellle Ellis; one grandson, Russell Jay Glover; and one great grandson, Cadenz James Hester.
Family members include two daughters, Melody (Rusty) Glover, Susan (Doug) Older; four grandchildren, Harmony June (Rocky) Hester, Amanda Ann (Joey) Cartwright, Zachary Wayne Gillespie, Shane Robert Gillespie; six great grandchildren, Skyler Brock Hester, Cassidy Vonn Cartwright, Jaxon Bryant Cartwright, Nickson Colt Hester, Liam Gunner Hester, Henleigh Bree Hester.
Pallbearers will be Rusty Glover, Doug Older, Zak Gillespie, Shane Gillespie, Rocky Hester, Joey Cartwright, Skyler Hester, and Jaxon Cartwright.
Funeral services will be held at Oak Hill Baptist Church (579 Oak Hill Road, Poplarville, MS, 39470) on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
