Kenny was born on November 3, 1956, in Bogalusa, Louisiana to Thomas Hall Sr. and Ruth Myer Hall. Known to many simply as Kenny, he was a man whose hard-working spirit and childlike heart touched everyone who knew him. Blessed with skilled and steady hands, he built a lifelong career building barns and crafting structures that stood strong, much like the values he lived by. Whether for work or for those in need, Kenny never hesitated to put those hands to use helping others.
Generous to a fault and always ready to lend support, Kenny’s dedication to his friends and community ran deep. He served faithfully at the Crossroads Food Pantry, offering kindness, compassion, and a warm smile to all who crossed his path. His service didn’t end there—Kenny felt a higher calling and answered it wholeheartedly, serving as Pastor of Zion Lutheran Church in Bogalusa, Louisiana for the last two years. In his ministry, he guided others with humility, grace, and unwavering faith.
Kenny will be remembered for his big heart, his willingness to help at a moment’s notice, and his ability to find joy in even the simplest moments. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the structures he built, and the love he freely gave.
Kenny is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Hall Sr. and Ruth Myer Hall.
Left to forever cherish his memory are his wife of 17 years, Cara Hall; his son, Kenneth Owen Hall, Jr. (Ami); daughter, Angela “Angie” Davenport (Shay); brother, Thomas “Tommy” Hall, Jr. sisters, Linda Windham (Steve) and Sue Caldwell (Toni); grandchildren, Sarah Davenport, Amelia Hall and Emery Hall; and his great-grandson, Thomas Hall. Kenny also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, many close friends and a community who loved him deeply.
