Lenora Ruth Smith

Mrs. Smith was born January 29, 1920 in Purvis, Mississippi to Lonnie A. Smith and Ada Cain Smith. She was a retired supervisor with Movie Star, Inc. in Poplarville and a member of Ford's Creek Baptist Church. She was active in her church, serving as church clerk for over 45 years; member of the choir; and Sunday School Teacher.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Toxie Homer Smith; three brothers, Elvan Smith, Lonnie Wilson Smith, Herschel "Buddy" Smith; three sisters, Willie Mae Cook, Hazel Fussell, and Monnie Andrews.

Family members include two sons, Jimmy Smith and his wife Mary, Tommy Smith; grandchildren, Rafe Smith (Liz), Renee Morgan (Scott), Brandy Perry (Thad), Elle Carr (Nick), Erynn Smith, Callie Smith; great grandchildren, Heather Smith, Abby Smith, Karly Morgan, Sarah Morgan, Drew Barnwell, Kaden Perry

Funeral services will be at Ford's Creek Baptist Church on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 10:00 am. Rev. Jeffrey Lee will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends and have visitation from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Monday at White Funeral Home, Poplarville and one hour prior to the service, Tuesday at the church.
