Madie Ray (Rogers) Gipson

Madie was born December 16, 1918 in Queen City, Texas to Ellie Thompson Rogers and Sylvester Cleveland Rogers.

Madie is survived by; daughter Barbara Amacker (Paul) Highstreet; daughter Sandra Amacker (Larry) Peters; son Rogers Scotty (Sandra) Gipson; son Bryan LaRue (Eileen) Gipson; son Steven Neil (Sarah) Gipson; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Madie was preceded in death by her first husband, Elmer O'Neal Amacker; second husband, Alvin Gipson; son Alvin Ray Gipson and son Elmer Amacker; father Sylvester Cleveland Rogers and mother Ellie Thompson Rogers; brother Buster Edward Rogers; brother Hardy O. Rogers; brother Howard Nolan Rogers; brother Benson L. Rogers; sister Betty Rester; sister Ann Bounds; sister Margaret Alexander; and daughter-in-law Judy Amacker .

Funeral services will be held at White Funeral Home, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, MS, 39470 on Monday, April 15, 2019 at 12:00 pm. Mr. Dane Bounds will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Poplarville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends and have visitation from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Saturday, April 13, 2019 at White Funeral Home, Poplarville.
