Michael proudly served his country in the United States Army. After his military service, he continued dedicating his life to protecting others, working as a sheriff’s deputy for two years before furthering his career as an ICE agent, where he served for the past six months.
Above all, Michael was a devoted father. He adored his five daughters and was a truly great daddy. Some of his happiest moments were spent with his girls, especially working on cars—something he loved deeply—and sharing that passion with his daughter Mattie by his side.
Michael had a love for life that was contagious. He was always smiling, always joking, and cherished every moment with his family. Whether it was mudding, doing doughnuts in the yard, hunting, fishing, or just enjoying a new adventure each day, Michael lived life to the fullest.
He shared a special bond with his Uncle Frank, who was not only family but his best friend. Their time together meant the world to him.
Michael will also be remembered for the laughter he brought to those around him, including the unforgettable moments at home—like when his mom made chicken and dumplings and biscuits so hard he joked, “Mom, if I threw this biscuit at the wall, it would go through the wall!”
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Gertie Adams (Jason); grandfather, Jesse Buras, Sr.; great-grandfather, Miles Buras and great-grandparents, Prentis and Alyce Landrum.
Left to forever cherish Little Mike's memory are his parents, Michael Landrum, Sr. and Charity "Maw Maw Cherry" Landrum; five daughters, Arabella Landrum, Mattie Grace Landrum, Abby Landrum, Gabby Landrum and Mollie Mae Landrum; grandmothers, Kathy Buras and Alice Landrum Crawford (Raymond); two sisters, Kansas Landrum and Allissa Landrum and three uncles, Jesse Buras, Jr. (Rebecca), Butch Buras (Tenile) and Frank Buras (Hannah).

His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at White Funeral Home for 11:00 am. Burial will follow in McNeil Cemetery, Carriere, Mississippi.
