Missie Landry

Missie was born August 2, 1961 in Newton, Mississippi.

Missie was an active, driven, motivated businesswoman. She was the former owner of Delta Mortgage. She also was a retired mortgage officer with Hancock Bank and was an owner of Play Time Pools. Missie was an accomplished artist. She enjoyed painting. Many of her works were on display in local galleries, along with numerous items she created and painted to gift to friends and family. Most recently, she was taking an active, hands on role in building her dream farm house and assisting in the construction and direction of building homes for her children.

Missie will be sorely missed.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Haskel "Hack" Herndon and Eldora Langley Herndon; and one brother, Jimmy Cavendish.

Left to cherish her memories are her two sons, Trey (Amy) McCranie, Darby (Lauren) McCranie; her loving fiance, Mike Ladner; four bonus children, Sidney Ladner, Michael Shane Ladner, Shelby Ladner, Adrian Almanza; three siblings, Glendal "Pee Wee" Herndon, Steve Herndon, Jessie "Butch" Herndon; seven grandchildren, Brody McCranie, Leela McCranie, Kylan McCranie, Reece McCranie, Lux McCranie, Braylon Landry, Lucas Klein; a host of extended family, friends, and neighbors.

A visitation for Missie will be held Saturday, March 13, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Missie's Farmhouse, (26 West Slope Drive, Carriere, MS, 39426), with a memorial service beginning at 1:00 pm.
