Murphy Donald Adams

Funeral service will be at White Funeral Home, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 11:00 am. Rev. Billy Kent Smith will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Ponemah Cemetery, Bogalusa, Louisiana. The family will receive friends and have visitation one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Adams was born November 13, 1933 in Bogalusa to Murphy Henry Adams and Lucille Johnston Adams. He was a retired manager with Crown Zellerbach; a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps; and an alumnus of Southeastern Louisiana College.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Rouse Adams.

Family members include four sons, Roderick Adams (Sally), Darrell Adams (Wanda), Billy McWilliams (Brenda), Kevin McWilliams (Lisa); three daughters, Jocelyn Nagel (Stewart), Jenifer Johnston (Jason), Debra Smith (Jerry); one brother, Terrell Adams (Marsha); thirteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and longtime friend and former wife, Ms. Dale Thigpen McWilliams Adams.
