
Mr. Amacker was born October 7, 1941 to Ernest Clarence Amacker and Thelma Morris Amacker. He was the owner of Custom Cypress Sawmilling, Inc.; a Mississippi Army National Guard Veteran; and a founding member of Amackertown Volunteer Fire Department. He was a former Deacon of First Baptist Church in Parrish, Florida and a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, serving as a Sunday School Teacher and Music Leader. He married the former Janet Gillett on February 8, 1962.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Linda Gail Warner; and one daughter-in-law, Lisa Amacker.
Family members include his wife of 55 years, Janet Gillett Amacker; three children, Richard C. Amacker, II, Kimberly Brinkley and her husband Nicky, Deb Herndon and her husband Pee Wee; one sister, Sandra Wheat and her husband Bubba; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and extended family.
Memorial services will be at White Funeral Home, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, MS, 39470 on Friday, April 14, 2017 at 3:00 pm. Rev. Larry Pickering will officiate the service. Burial will be private, at a later date. The family will receive friends and have visitation one hour prior to the service.
