Thomas (Tee) Patrick Fayard, Sr., 70, of Poplarville, Mississippi (formerly of St. Bernard Parish, LA), entered into Eternal Life on Friday, September 17, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Fayard was born September 20, 1950 in New Orleans. He was a United States Army Veteran and was a retired stagehand with International Alliance of Theatrical Stagehands Union, Local 39 in New Orleans.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Archie Fayard and Myrtle Doolan Fayard; his first wife, Carolyn Fayard; one brother, Stephen Joseph Fayard; and close friend, Celia Beals.

Family members include five children, Monica Morel (Brett), Michelle F. Bickel (Wes), Victoria McKay, Nicholas C. Fayard, Thomas P. Fayard, Jr.; a granddaughter that he raised, Alycia Packard; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Naomi, Skylar, Carolyn, Jullian, Emma, Jaelyn, Thomas P., III,; one great granddaughter, Violet Rose; siblings, Patricia F. Barras (Phillip), Jodi Barras (Larry), Tina Amie (Craig), Michael Fayard; and lifelong friend, Frankie Gipson.

Thomas, or as his family and friends called him “Tee” was a Vietnam Veteran honorably discharged from the US Army. His family was very proud that he fought for his country and earned a Medal of Valor for his heroism. His act of heroism resulted in having PTSD. He was known for his big heart and helping anyone in need as well as protecting anyone he felt was in danger. He had a career in stagehand work and loved his job as a stage lighting director at the Saenger Theatre. He had an overbearing love for his children, grandchildren and family and looked forward to seeing all of them at family gatherings and holidays. He loved the US flag and was very proud of being a citizen of the US of America. His acts kindness and compassion for everyone will never be forgotten.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral ceremony for Thomas at White Funeral Home (315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, MS, 39470) on Saturday, September 25, 2021, relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at 2:00 pm, service will be at 3:00 pm. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family prefers for donations to be made to the Disabled American Veterans Charity www.dav.org
