Allyn Robert Parker

Predeceased by his parents and one brother Donald, Allyn is survived by his wife Isabel; children: Vikki Wilson, Dawn Flora (Steve), Allyn Dean Parker (Alana), Nancy “Jordan” Parker (Lance) and children of the heart Kelly Stewart and Michael Bouvette; grandchildren: Brett and Karlie Wilson, Ava Flora and Coltin and Ashley DeVries; sisters: Davina Morton and Georgina Kidd (Ed), and first wife Sandy as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Allyn worked for the City of Port Alberni until his retirement. He enjoyed woodworking, computers, cooking and archery, but mostly and firstly, he was a family man and they were always most important. He was very civic minded and worked hard to improve both himself and his community. He was a three time past master and current secretary of Barclay Lodge, PABG of Job’s daughters and a long standing member of Alberni Valley United Church.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, December 12, 2011 at the Alberni Valley United Church, 3747 Church St., with Rev. Minnie Hornidge and Rev. Bob Long officiating.
