Bryan Homan passed away on Sunday, April 19th, 2020, at Ty Watson House. Bryan is survived by his loving wife Barb and his children Darren (Heidi) and Scott (Kelli). He is also survived by his grandchildren Brianna, Graydon, Jenna, and Dawson; brother Don (Megan); sisters in-law Sherry (Al)and Donna; As well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Bryan graduated from Alberni District High School and then from UVIC in 1970 with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. He worked as a counsellor at Canada Manpower for many years. Bryan enjoyed his summers at their trailer in Qualicum Bay and looked forward to spending a week on the West Coast inTofino with his family for many summers. He enjoyed golfing, watching hockey and football, participating in hockey and football pools, and going on cruises with his wife and friends. His family and 4 beautiful grandchildren were always a great source of joy for him. Bryan was an avid volunteer at the BC Summer Games, Senior Games, U-17 World Hockey Tournaments, as well as coached his son’s soccer team.
The family would like to thank the staff at Ty Watson House, WCGH, and Dr. Kitsoff’s office, as well as Dr. Lambiotte, Dr. Johnsen, and the wonderful home care nurses.
In lieu of flowers, donations can kindly be made in Bryan’s name to The Alberni Valley Hospice Society/Ty Watson House; or a charity of your choice.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
