Bryan Robert Mason

February 1, 1990 – March 2011

Bryan passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the age of 21 years.

Predeceased by grandparents; Gilbert and Gladys Mason; grandmother, Irene Andrews; and uncles Barry and Derek.

Survived by; father, Bob (Johanne) Mason; mother Donna (John)Douglas; brother, Brad Mason; uncle David Andrews; step-sisters, Carlee, Charlie and Georgia; grandfather, Bill Andrews; honorary grandparents, Mary and Roy Lougheed; special friend Kyla Schafer; uncles and aunts Ken (Bonnie) Mason, Cathy (Darrell) Simmonds, Joan and Dianne as well as many cousins, extended family and close friends.

Born and raised in the Alberni Valley, Bryan was active in many activities during his life, hockey and cars being his main passions. A gifted mechanic, he had a wonderful sense of humour and many friends. Bryan had just moved to Victoria and was proud and excited about just receiving his mechanic apprenticeship at a brand new car dealership at Acura/Honda.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00pm at the Alberni Athletic Hall, 3727 Roger St., Port Alberni, BC with Fred Massey officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bryan Mason Memorial Acct c/o the Royal Bank of Canada, 2925 – 3rd Ave, Port Alberni, BC, V9Y 2A6. Donations will be directed towards both an Auto Mechanic Scholarship Grant at N.I. College as well as Alberni Valley Minor Hockey.
