Catherine Teresa Wallace

Cathy, as she was most known by, passed suddenly on December 9, 2024 at West Coast Hospital in Port Alberni, surrounded by family.

Cathy was born on March 3, 1952 in Kilwinning Ayreshire Scotland. She moved to Canada in November 1955. Her father was in the RCAF and they moved across the Country to various RCAF airbases in Aurora Ontario, Rivers in Manitoba, Calgary Alberta and finally settled in Kelowna, BC in 1967.

Cathy is survived by her husband Robert (Rob); children, Robert, Ryan (Rachel), Michelle, Sean (Shera) and Lisa; grandchildren, Amber, Milo, Elijah, John, Arlo; siblings, Tom (Maureen), David (Grazyna) Peter (Judie) Paul, and Marie. She was predeceased by her mother, Catherine; father, Thomas and brother, Kevin.

Cathy’s family was her love and her grandchildren her pride and joy. She also loved animals, especially her dog, Maggie and her cat, Gemma and her grandpets, Paisley and Louie. Her favorite flowers were sunflowers. Elephants, cardinals and turtles held a special place in her heart.

Cathy was smart and quick witted. Sometimes a touch cynical with a hint of sarcasm. She had a wicked sense of humour and loved to laugh. She lit up every room she walked into and could find the light in even the darkest of circumstances.

She was an amazing sister, wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed.
