

Colin was born in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba on December 4, 1939. He left home as a boy to find work and had numerous jobs before marrying Connie and settling in Port Alberni where he worked as a carpenter. In his younger years he was a hockey coach, Cub Scout leader, and also a softball umpire. A lot of time was spent at the local arena watching his kids, grandkids, great-grandkids and The Bulldogs play. He loved to spend time camping, fishing and hunting. He also loved to dance and was very good at it.
Predeceased by his wife Connie, 4 brothers and his sister. Colin is survived by his daughter Colleen (Cliff), sons David (NaDean) and Bruce (Sandra); 9 grandkids: Shaun (Carly), Carey (Kristin), Austin (Mia), Chelsea (David), Keenan, Shaylee, Jason, Nichole (Dakota) and Nicole (Edmond); 12 great-grandkids: Payton, Tanner, Kevin, Trevin, Scotia, Violet, Lilly, Elyanna, Hadwin, Lukas, Declan and Roark; 5 brothers-in-law: Orest (Marilyn), Myron (Loretta), Ray (Linda), Ron (Gloria) and Terry (Lorna), 2 sisters-in-law: Donna and Myrna and their families.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Colin's life, which will be held at Chapel of Memories Funeral Home 11:00 am Friday, January 27th. A reception will follow with food and refreshments.
